How to Kill a Live Prawn
It's fresh seafood season in Victoria, BC. So what happens when you go down to the fisherman's wharf and buy your prawns as fresh as can be ? (Meaning they are still alive when you bring them home..and yes they move).
There are two ways that you can prepare your live prawns for cooking. Either keep them alive until the moment of cooking, or de-head them first.
In this video watch Heidi and Gui as they prepare live prawns for the cookin'! It may not be our most favorite thing to do, but fresh is most certainly best where seafood is concerned.

How to Make Seaweed Fertilizer
On location in Victoria, BC, join Heidi as she takes you through the simple steps of building one of the most organic fertilizers that you can feed to your plants: SEAWEED!
Seaweed is full of trace minerals and micro-nutrients that nourish your plants, helps to protect your plant from fungus and much more!
Add this seaweed fertilizer to your plants feeding routine to create a balanced diet.
You can also add some diluted fertilizer mix to spray bottle (1/3 fertilizer - 2/3 water) and spray the foliage of your plants. This is called foliar feeding and helps to green up your plants and help them out when they are not looking to well.
